Fast Timecards Entry

A customer needed a more efficient way of updating payroll timecards on monthly basis. Their employees have some earnings / deductions that are the same every month, while others change, i.e. overtime, meal allowance, extra pay for being assigned acting manager for certain days, tips, etc.

In Payroll configuration, they created reusable timecards, and need to update the variable earnings / deductions each month, and the standard timecards user interface in Sage is not the most efficient because it only allows modifying one employee at a time.

In addiiton to that, they wanted an easy way to distribute total collected tips (service charges) equally to all employees.

Introducing Fast Timecards Entry screen:

Advantages:

• Multiple employees’ timecards can be entered on the same screen – no clicks to navigate between employees.
• The list of earning / deduction codes available on this screen can be limited in the configuration.
• Saves and loads data directly to / from UP Timecards – no intermediate database.
